Riva Aquarama Special Motorboat

Aquarama is a line of motorboats that has made the history of Riva pleasure boats. Seductive, versatile boats, with elegant and delicately-balanced lines whose beauty is captivating.

Aquarama’s size, power and comfort have taken the open-top configuration to a new level. For the first time, the cockpit is positioned separately from the sundeck, while a mahogany bridge connects the two bulkheads.

The name derives from the Cinerama film format, very popular in the 1960s with a broad windscreen that recalls the shape. An intentionally glamorous boat with a rudder that evokes the steering wheels of 1950s American sportscars.

Since it was released in 1962, the Riva has been the choice option for actors and film divas, singers and sports champions wanting to complete their image. With just 277 built between 1972 and 1996, the Aquarama Special represents a step forward from the historic design of the original model.
