Yes, no matter what activity you choose, the skipper will always be on board. We strive to ensure an exceptional experience, so our crew is rigorously selected, professional, and multilingual, with all members fluent in English. Each year, our staff participates in refresher courses on core boating skills such as rescue, firefighting, etc. All members of our crew are fully licensed to perform their duties in accordance with maritime regulations.
Yes. Booking is required to participate in our excursions. This allows us to better organize the number of boats and skippers, keep our shared boat tours small, and ensure a more tailored experience. Additionally, it enables us to inform participants of any schedule changes, such as cancellations due to bad weather.
No. Our shared boat tours do not require a minimum number of participants. Even with just one booking, the excursion will depart as scheduled.
The shared boat tour is shared by up to 10-12 participants, who are not necessarily from the same booking.
The shared boat tour departs from Minori, on the Amalfi Coast. The exact meeting point will be provided at the time of booking.
No. The shared boat tour is primarily focused on scenic navigation along the Amalfi Coast, so no stops in the towns are included. The experience takes place entirely on board the boat.
Yes. During the shared boat tour, there is free time for swimming and snorkeling. The skipper will take you to the best and safest spots along the coast. Snorkeling equipment is available on board, but you are also welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Yes. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included during the shared boat tour. On board, you can choose from water, soft drinks, wine, and beer. These are accompanied by snacks, such as chips and peanuts.
Yes, the shared boat tour is suitable for families. However, children under the age of 5 are not permitted to participate for safety reasons.
Some tours, particularly shared boat tours, may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility or those who use a wheelchair. We recommend contacting us before booking to discuss potential alternative solutions or customized private tours.
For safety reasons, excursion itineraries may be modified, shortened, or canceled in the event of adverse weather conditions. In case of persistent rain, strong winds, rough seas, or unsafe weather conditions, the excursion may be canceled at our discretion with a full refund. When possible, you may also reschedule the tour for another date, subject to availability. Forecasts of variable weather, scattered clouds, or light wind are not considered valid grounds for a refund in the event of a cancellation by the customer.
No. Amalfi Sails is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items during the tour. We recommend bringing only what is necessary and keeping a close eye on your personal belongings.
Participants are responsible for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence to the boat or equipment provided during the tour. Any such damages may be charged to the responsible customer.
A 100% refund is provided in the event of cancellation due to bad weather (at our discretion) or if the customer cancels at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to show up at the time of boarding, or any modification or cancellation made with less than 24 hours’ notice before the tour date, does not entitle the customer to a refund or credit, and the full amount will be retained.
It is important to arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before the boarding time. Late arrivals or no-shows may result in the loss of the tour, with no right to a refund.
According to the Italian recreational boat safety law, for day tours, each boat can accommodate up to 12 passengers, if the number is more than 12 it will be necessary to charter more boats.
We guarantee that the yachts will sail side by side the whole time and stop for swimming at the same spots and at the same restaurant, so clients will always sail together.
If you wish to be all together on the same boat, we can exceptionally accommodate up to a maximum of 18 people on some larger boat selected by us (as it complies to be able to carry more guests safely), and a small side-by-side boat only in case of security checks by the Coast Guard.
In this case, a special price will be charged for the second boat.
Yes, as required by law, all our boats are equipped with life jackets for adults and children. In addition, the crew is trained in case of emergency.
Please note that life jackets should only be used in an emergency and not as water play.
On board our boat, we follow strict cleaning protocols to ensure maximum safety and hygiene. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards for disinfecting every area of the boat.
We love animals and would be more than happy to accommodate all sizes, however, small animals are allowed on board the yacht and will only be allowed to stay on the outside parts of the boat. Any damage that the boat may suffer due to the dog will be charged to the client himself. Should you have them, we suggest non-slip socks specifically for dogs, which are useful in not ruining the teak.
Of course, as with every end of service, the boat will be disinfected and cleaned to the finest detail, always ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness.
It is possible to board with strollers. Both the latter and suitcases will be stored in the interior cabins.
Since there is no “tipping policy” in Italy, tips are never included in our prices. The decision to leave a tip depends entirely on you and your satisfaction with the services you received.
We recommend bringing a swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses and a lightweight jacket for cooler evenings. We provide towels, drinks and snorkeling equipment.
We are happy to welcome children of all ages on board! While on board, it is essential that little ones be under adult supervision at all times. Our boats provide safety and comfort for all our guests. If you are traveling with infants or very young children, please let us know in advance.
The safety of our guests is a top priority. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions declared by Amalfi Sails, the rental can be rescheduled or, if not possible, you will receive a full refund.
Smoking is allowed on board, but only in outdoor areas. This must always respect safety regulations and the integrity of the boat and the environment. Please note that smoking inside the yacht is not permitted.
For an enjoyable day at sea, we suggest starting the boat tour at 9:00-10:00 am and returning around 5:00-6:00 pm. In case you want to change the departure or return time, we suggest contacting us so that we can find the best solution and meet your needs. It is possible to extend the tour to more hours at an extra cost.
Absolutely. We work with our clients to create tailor-made itineraries, allowing you to choose the destinations and activities that interest you most.
Yes, there are several secluded bays and beaches along the Amalfi Coast ideal for snorkeling, swimming and relaxing. The captain will suggest the best places.
Of course, swimming is one of the best activities to do during the yacht excursion. A couple of stops for swimming are provided in the tour schedule. However, if you would like to make more stops, simply notify our crew, who will be at your complete disposal.
If you wish to extend the tour, we will do our best to accommodate the request, subject to availability. Extra costs will be calculated and reported by the crew.
Once the reservation is confirmed, an email will be sent with the main details, including the meeting point. Considering that you can depart from any port, depending on where you wish to depart from, a detailed map and photo of the embarkation pier will be sent. In addition, the captain’s cell phone number will be provided for any last-minute communications. In any case, an assistance service will always be guaranteed for any eventuality.
Only some hotels on the coast have private piers for direct boarding. However, pick up from the hotel is available upon request at an extra cost:
- With our own minivan that will drive guests from the hotel to the port (and vice versa)
- With our assistants who, especially in pedestrian areas (such as in Positano or Capri), will accompany clients from the hotel to the port (and vice versa)
We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to complete boarding procedures and hear the safety briefing.
For mini cruises and weekly cruises with the luxury boats, there is an APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance). It is an amount that is advanced to cover costs during the charter that will be handled by the crew, for example: guest food, fuel, port costs, etc.
It is usually an amount ranging from 30% to 40% of the list price of the boat. The APA is usually paid in advance at the time of booking. In case the full APA is not spent, the remainder will be returned by transfer, or in case it is not enough to cover the expenses an additional transfer will be requested to compensate.
Certainly, it is possible to visit any place where you stop and walk to the city center. In addition, each mini cruise can be customized according to preference.
During the summer, our gulfs can be very crowded with boats, which can generate waves and compromise the dining experience on board. For this reason, during day trips, we recommend stopping at one of the best restaurants along the coast, which are accessible only by sea.
If you prefer to stay on board, we suggest light meals such as a light lunch. Please let us know your preferences at the time of booking, so we can offer you the solutions best suited to your needs.
Yes, it is possible to bring personal drinks and snacks on board, with respect to our crew. However, to ensure you have a totally relaxed and worry-free experience, we recommend that you contact our office to let them know what you need. This way, we can ensure that everything is already on board at the time of embarkation.
Please note: snacks and extra drinks should be quoted separately.
Included in the daily boat rental is: crew, insurance, diesel fuel for the required route, snacks, alcoholic (basic white wine, basic prosecco, beers and limoncello) and non-alcoholic drinks, snorkeling equipment and beach towels. At an extra cost it is possible to have special drinks on board upon request and extra appetizers on board.
With our fleet we can arrange sea excursions departing from anywhere along the coast: Salerno, Amalfi, Praiano, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Naples, Ischia, Procida, etc. and offer various services including:
- Full day boat tour (usually 7h, but can be extended at an extra cost)
- Sunset tour with aperitif (usually 2h or 4h)
- Mini cruises (starting from 2 days and 1 night, onwards)
- Weekly cruises
- Fast transfers departing from any port
- Weddings, private parties and boat ceremonies
- Photoshooting on prestige boats such as Riva or any other boat
Yacht rental depends on the type of service you choose. If you chooseadayexcursion by boat, the rental time coincides with that of the excursion itself. For mini cruises, on the other hand, the duration depends on the stops you want to visit and the activities you want to do. Usually, to create a customized itinerary that combines: sightseeing and relaxing moments, a weekend mini cruise is organized. In the case of yacht charter, the time depends on the number of nights you want to spend on board.
Accepted payment methods are bank transfer or credit card.
Please take note of our cancellation policy regarding day trips:
- Cancellation with at least 7 days notice, before the planned departure, 30% of the price will be charged
- Cancellation between 3 and 6 days before the planned departure, there is a refund of 50% of the total amount
- Cancellation within 2 days of planned departure, no refund is provided, full amount will be charged
- For cancellations due to bad weather, confirmed by us, an alternative date or full refund will be given
- In case of NO SHOW, no refund is provided, the full amount will be charged
No boat license is required, as all our yachts are chartered with experienced crew and certified captain.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult. There is no age limit for guests, but we recommend informing our staff of any special needs for seniors or children.
To improve service, we ask that you inform the staff of any age of elderly or infants.
Yes, we specialize in organizing private events, including weddings, anniversaries and corporate parties. We can tailor the yacht and service to make your event unique.
Our yachts have equipment such as paddleboards and sea bobs. Please ask us about the options available at the time of booking so we can check availability and send you ad hoc quotes.
Of course! We specialize in romantic experiences such as private sunset dinners at one of the best restaurants along the coast and sunset tours. We can outfit the boat with flowers, music and decorations for an unforgettable experience.
