The Amalfi Coast boasts a rich and fascinating history, and each one of its iconic corners has its own secret to discover.
From the very start of my career, I’ve wanted to promote my home region, show people its beauty, and tell its stories. Back in the 80s, I would take tourists between the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast on a small sailboat, and the sea was totally free of other tourist boats. And that’s when the first pearl of an idea began to form for what would become the Amalfi Sails company.

From the very start of my career, I’ve wanted to promote my home region, show people its beauty, and tell its stories. Back in the 80s, I would take tourists between the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast on a small sailboat, and the sea was totally free of other tourist boats. And that’s when the first pearl of an idea began to form for what would become the Amalfi Sails company.
As demand increased, I realised that getting to Capri with a simple sailboat just took too long: the company had to grow. So at the end of the 90s I started chartering boats with a skipper, and became one of the top promoters of private maritime tourism on the Amalfi Coast.
Over the years we have expanded our fleet with new yachts, and I now also count on the support of my son, Pier Paolo, who has inherited my passion for the sea. Today, the company also has its own shipyard, allowing us to refit our boats independently.
Thanks to our shipyard’s experienced staff, who perform a meticulous standard of maintenance and improvement on the entire fleet every year, our customers can enjoy yachts that are always safe, comfortable and fitted with the latest on-board equipment. In addition, our maritime personnel are carefully selected and assigned to captain our boats and meet the highest safety standards.
