Boat excursions to Sorrento.
The Sorrento Peninsula is a strip of land that extends into the Tyrrhenian Sea and is defined by two areas: the side that stretches out into the Gulf of Naples which represents the Sorrento Coast, while the area that stretches toward the Gulf of Salerno joins the Amalfi Coast. The peninsular territory is crossed by the historical chain of Lattari Mountains that stretch towards the sea and reach their peak in the area of Punta Campanella, opposite the island of Capri. At one time the island was wholly united to the coast and as you can see from its current location, Capri seems to be united to the Sorrento Peninsula by an imaginary extension. The most popular tourist destination and offering the largest number of tourist services throughout the peninsula, is Sorrento.
The town of Sorrento has dense vegetation spread over a volcanic tufa terrace that is positioned at a height of 47 meters above sea level. Among gardens and citrus (from which comes the production of the typical Limoncello of Sorrento) we find its charming old town of Roman origin, its main square built in honor of the writer Torquato Tasso and beloved beaches with the ancient village of Marina Grande.
